Tuyo was started by Sabrina Lessard and Gabriel Velazquez Zazueta. Gabriel was born in Sinaloa Mexico and grew up in Mexico City. Gabriel’s background is in Design, Advertising, and Education. Sabrina got her start in Philadelphia, PA. She has worked extensively in the field of Contemporary Fine Art specializing in studio and production management and fabrication.
Both relocated to New York in 2006 by way of young LOVE and big dreams. Influenced by the culture and landscapes of Mexico, the spirit of NYC and a fierce belief in the restorative power of friendship, the results of which are objects containing an evolving hybrid of aesthetics, intention, and craftsmanship.
